WATCH THIS SPACE for news about Accessible Depth, my new album coming out "real soon now". i'll be posting track details, production notes, and the like.

For now, here's what the rough draft album cover looks like:

I'm sure it will change, but it's a start!

Jazz on Riverdale in Macon

Had a ball yesterday over at the Jazz on Riverdale Festival. Heard some EXCELLENT music from K'mo, the Joey Stuckey Band (where I was asked to sit in on a couple of tunes on a genuine B3 - SWEET!), and the Monty Cole quintet.

Sure was nice to hear Boudleaux Allen, Steve Chanin, and several other Middle Georgia Legends.

They'd be embarrassed if they knew I just called them legends, though!

This was a Jazz Association of Macon event. Pretty cool!

New Music on Last.fm

I've been rummaging around the hard drive today and found a few tracks that were recorded live in a variety of situations - so I've begun a new "album" over on my Last.fm site called "Miscellaneous and Live".

The first track is an improvised solo piano performance/arrangement of Be Thou My Vision, performed on July 25, 2010 at Northway Church.

Choir Practice Tracks on YouPublish

I've completed uploading several choir practice tracks available for purchase on my YouPublish.com site.

The idea is to be able to hear YOUR part separately from the rest of the choir - so in general the accompaniment is in the center, YOUR part is on one side, and the other choir parts on the other.

This works very well with headphone/earbuds, by the way.

You can pick up individual pieces, individual parts, or the entire set (with a license to copy for the choir).

What's available? At the moment:
Vivaldi's Gloria
"Dance a Cachuca" from The Gondoliers [Gilbert & Sullivan]
from La Traviata: "Libiamo" [Drinking Song], and "No. 5 Stretto of the Intro"
Lord Nelson Mass by Haydn
